Newcastle were away in the cup so Jimmy, Paul, my dad and I went to see Sunderland play in the cup. Don't remember much other than Sunderland won. Can recall that at the time there was still possibility that our dads would bring Paul and I to Sunderland rather than Newcastle. Thankfully the journey home took forever and the die was cast - it was easier to get away from Newcastle after the match .... we would be Newcastle fans. Thank god for traffic jams
