Astonishing turn of events around half time. Wovles 2 up and a player goes down. Dave Beasent goes to kick the ball out of play, Michael Branch not seeing the player down, intercepts the ball and goes forward to put the ball past Beasent into the net. The keeper is furious and has to be restrained as the teams go off for half time. we hear later the police are called to both dressing rooms and the captains told to control and calm the players. The seocnd half is a stale incident-free 2nd half. Ultimately it impacted Branch more who never lived up to his potential and was never a Wolves regular again.
