Short flirt down the east lancs and a trip through the tunnel for the culmination of our record breaking season - looking for a couple of goals and a win to end the season on 100 goals and 100 points - so winning 2-1 with a minute or two to go and we sub Keith Brannagan to get Gavin Ward on so he qualified for a medal - his only action to retrieve the ball out of the net - in the final seconds John Aldridge who was player manager at the time came over to celebrate in front of the away fans - strange the only thing they had to cheer was stopping us getting 100 points - probably still has it on his CV - tosser ! Went with Ian Langin and possibly Stephen
