The closest we came to winning an away game that season, only a last minute equaliser scuppered us. So much better (and safer!) than Maine Road.
A great stadium, (easily my favourite club ground aside from Molineux), and a superb match thoguh ultimately disappointing as we really needed to win to have any chance of staying up. And we nearly did to. Mark Kennedy had his bet game in Wolves colours, no doubt inspired by a visit to one of his old clubs. He scored a cracking early goal but his deflection fell to Wright-Phillips in the dying minutes to give City a point. I remember being impressed by the automatic turnstiles, the first time I'd seen them were you scan your ticket to gain entry. It was funny though that each turnstile still had an operator in case anyone couldn't work out how to get in. So much for labout saving
