Excellent game between two English sides, fast, hard-fought with little or no cheating. After the match a Canaries fan in best Norfolk turned to a policeman. "Officer, I want to report a robbery". Policeman looked puzzled "Yeah?" The fan pointed to a cone in the road. It was labelled Thames Valley Police.   Anyone who reads this who hasn't looked up the site of Norwich's old ground should do so. it is an industrial site on the road that runs across the front of Thorpe Station on the opposite side of the railway from Carrow Road. One wonders how they got a pitch in never mind stands which once held 35000. But the most amazing part is one end which is a cliff. Fans used to perch on various ledges and on the cliff-top.   Good job City moved before the HSE was formed.
