We'd always wanted to stand on the Kop and so this as our last chance (the final game had sold out weeks earlier). we got to the ground early and the Kop sold out signs were up at 1.30. The atmosphere was great and the Kop were ing reat voice chanting and singing away even though the other three sides of the ground didn't really start fillnig up for another hour. They kept chanting "NO SEATS" whcih we felt was a little late really, considering it was gonig to be rebuilt in about a months time. Liverpool didn't have a great game and it was a comfortable win for the Geordies. On the way home news filtered through of Wovles beating Notts County away which prompted celebrations in our car and caused a few peculiar looks from passing Scousers .. "hadn't the reds just lost ?"
