Charlton avoided a relegation play-off place by getting a draw. This resulted in Chelsea going into the play-offs and eventually being relegated. Chelsea's goal was a penalty which was given even though the foul was ten yards outside of the area. I don't know who knocked Carl Leaburn out but he would have been in deep trouble if Carl hadn't been pinned down by 4 or 5 of the Charlton staff after the smelling salts took effect. Nowadays, Carl would have had to have been substituted and sent to hospital for a check up.
