First FA Cup game of the season for Sutton. Left home at about 11:30 and walked to Streatham Common. Got the train to Sutton and then walked from Sutton station to the ground. Got the coach from the ground to Hayes leaving Sutton at 12:30 and got to the Hayes ground at about 14:20. The ground itself has got an impressive stand on the one side and nothing else on the other three sides of the ground. The game itself was an incredibly dire one with us having one of the worst performances I've seen for a long time and the windy conditions playing their part. Not much of memory from the game but we eventually took the lead from a quality finish from Randell on the left hand side curling it into the bottom corner with about 10 mins to go. Hayes had a couple of chances and would have probably felt that they were worthy of a draw and replay. Got back on the coach and left at 17:15 getting back to Sutton at about 18:30. Got the train to Streatham Station and got home at about 19:15.
