a very poor home performance , Newport were far the better side an could have scored more

Went along to this game with Andrew. Newport easily the best team in difficult conditions - wouldn't fancy Charlton playing them in the next round - actually, I wouldn't fancy Charlton playing anyone in the next round, except maybe 'bye'. I would fancy us to progress then!

My son and I were sat in the stand about 30 minutes before kick-off when Barnet manager Martin Allen made his way up the steps and came and sat next to us while his team went through their warm-up drills on the pitch. He said he likes to watch these from the stand as it gives him a better view and he can assess his players. He chatted to us for about 20 minutes! Unfortunately this turned out to be the best part of the day as the game itself, and Barnet''s performace, was absolutely dismal.
