Match no. 28. Another astonishing game. Brabrook and Peters put West Ham 2-0 ahead before Baldwin pulled one back just before half-time. In the second-half Hateley and Cooke put Chelsea 3-2 ahead. Two goals from Sissons put Hammers 4-3 ahead before Ron Harris handled to give away a penalty. Byrne''s spot-kick was pushed onto the post by Bonetti but Byrne collected the rebound, evaded a couple of challenges and scored. 5-3 to Hammers but Bobby Tambling scored with a penalty before equalising with the last kick of the game.
