A Sunday afternoon up the Hawthorns. The weather was fantastic. The sun was out, the sky was blue, there wasn''t a cloud to spoil the view. The Baggies had a 100% start to the season so the hope was that this would be a good performance and put down what people in the know call a marker for the rest of the season. Albion great Alistair Ally Robertson was present in the fan zone so a chance for an autograph was taken. Inside the stadium was bathed in sunshine with barely a breeze to cool down the faithful. The new video screens were up and running this time and amongst other things a tribute to lifelong Albion fan and local lad Les James, who passed away aged 91 just prior to the new season, was played and warmly applauded. Once again a good crowd with the Stoke fans more or less selling out their section. Baggies had already beaten Bournemouth 1-0 at home then went to Turf Moor and won 1-0 there so it has been a very good start. The Potters lost 1-0 away to Everton in their first match but stunned Arsenal by beating them 1-0 at the Bet365 stadium and had seen off Rochdale 4-0 in the newly sponsored Carabao Cup, or League Cup as us traditionalists prefer to call it, so a fairly steady start for Mark Hughes team.
