Ticket price £25.00 (part of a double header weekend away with Barnsley v Scunthorpe being the other game on the 25th. Stayed overnight in a Premier Inn at Wakefield from there it was 35 miles and a 1hr via the M1/M62/M606 - via Bradford City centre. Valley Parade is an odd ground with two absolutely huge distinct stands joined together which seemed to create a constant wind tunnel whilst the other two are both seperate although large enough. My seat was awful, being 4 rows from the front of the North Stand with very poor leg room (fortunately it did not rain which was forecast) although I did get an up close view of the winning goal! The ground had no parking facilities just street parking and I was lucky enough to get a spot right outside the stadium. The playing surface was awful but it seemed to help the game which was played with great spirit by both teams, the home crowd really helped to make it an atmosphere to remember, with two drummers keeping the fans singing in recognition of a play off place being up for grabs, a down side was the stewarding appeared a tad over zealous! The club shop overlooked the pitch which was a first for me! My journey home was 223 miles taking 4 hrs exactly, with the weekend round trip being 457.5 miles in total! In summary, a fantastic trip away to take in two famous football clubs.
