Up at 5.30 after getting home at 23.30 from going to see War Horse with Lauren & Alisha. Got 6.31 (4659130) to Vic, and 7.28 (222013) from St Pancras to Nottingham arr 9.17. Crossed over to the NET tram and caught one straight away. £3.50 for a day rover, and travelled the entire network, Hucknell and Phoenix Park. Two further extensions are due to open later this year. Coffee n the city centre church, then the 11.26 (158773) to Mansfield. Walked thru'' town to the museum, and noted the fine stone railway viaduct that traverses the town. Noted the fine A S Buxton water colours of early Mansfield. Then to Wetherspoons, ''Old Widow Frost'' across the road, for sausage & mash and halves of ''Durdle Door'' & ''Pile Driver'' (98p & 90p). Strolled on to the Railway Inn and got chatting to two local lads, one very knowledgable, and both friendly, who I accompanied to Mill Field. They wished me good luck finishing the 92, and I collected my £13 ticket. seat in upper stand with expansive view over the town. My neighbour to my right was an ex-miner who was chatty, and on my left an equally friendly lady. Packets of sweets were occasionally offered around our little group which was nice. As for the game Fleetwood looked sharp early on, but the Stags opened the scoring on the 21 min by a Rhead header. Much toing and froing failed to produce another goal, and the local fans left delighted. I''d meanwhile been checking Fulham''s progress at WBA and as I left I thought they''d won 1-0, but at the station a further check showed the Albion had got a late equaliser. 2 more points dropped! Got the 17.14 (158773) to Nottingham, walked up to McDonalds for a burger, got the tram back to the station for the 18.32 IC125 back to St P. arr 20.14 and 20.52 from Vic to B Sth. Good day, cool and sunny.
