Aaaaahhhh my home town team up against my adopted team on our own patch I can''t lose. Cardiff 2 goals up and coasting after an hour but Sunderland never gave up and kept going and believing with Gus Poyet shouting his instructions, 2-1 I was still happybut then Jack got his goal albeit with a deflection to help so a draw was pretty fair.
Excellent day of it, best away day I've had with Sunderland in the Premier League (to date). Got to Cardiff around midday, did a tour of the Millenium Stadium which I had never been to, bus tour of the city centre and then on to the match. Very much like the Amex and Madjeski, it's a neat compact ground, the location being better for getting to the city centre and transport. Without doubt the cheapest ticket for a Prem game I've paid for, £20, top value. Despite being really poor and second best to Cardiff for 80 minutes, the last ten we came to life with a combination of energy and Cardiff going on the defensive. Two goals, both in the away end, pandemonium, point rescued.
