Early kick-off so in the Black Cat's Bar by 10:00. Dave Scott with us (he met cameraman Alf on the way in). A brilliant sunny day but very cold. The Black Cats Bar is brilliant. Windows direct from behind the goal into the ground. Lovely staff all around and superb setting. Food poor (bacon baps and chips) but everything else excellent. Long chats with Calvin Magnus (the head of hospitality) and an interesting game. Sunderland were rubbish (poorly set up. disorganised and strategically wrong). We were right. Martin O'Neil was sacked that night. But the game was still very enjoyable. Taxi back to Newcastle for another great night out on the toon.
