A miserable drizzly and perishing cold night watching truly awful football. As Charlie said, it''s like me going to work, knowing how to turn on my computer but nopt knowing how to open Outlook. The occasional shouts of cobblers may have been intended to spur on the home team but sounded more like a resounding comment on the standard of football. The stadium looks neat and almost impressive from the main carpark becasue all you can see is the main (west) stand. However, once sat in the main stand the ground looks small and a bit sad being single tier on all of the three other sides. The low sides also mean that the wind howls in and it was blinkin'' freeeeezin'' !!! At to thios the fact that the majority of the crowd sit in the main stand and it makes the rest of the ground look sparse and empty thereby killing any chance of generating a real atmosphere. (And - let''s face it - Northampton residents are only there because they broke down on the way to somewhere else !!!!) The cheerleaders from Northampton University were - without any shadow of a doubt - the very worst we have ever had the misfortune to witness. A couple of times they threw some poor girl in the air and the only bit of the entire trick that did what it was supposed to was The Law of Gravity. The girl nearly died!! Good dinner in the TGI Friday''s before hand and that with being allowed to park there for free was a bonus. (Marmot with us but went to pictures). Also the traffic dissipates very quickly. Beyond all this it was simply another one ticked off but I doubt (very strongly) we will ever find ourselves back at Sixfields again. Oh and by the way, Bristrol Rovers were robbed. Plain and simple.

Travelled over from Bretby. Tom on bench - didnt get on. Possibly the worst tactics I have ever seen from Northampton - just booted iy into the box from many and everywhere. Late goal. And it was freezing !
