New Year's Day and a great start to the football of 2013 thanks to s short drive from Henley to High Wycombe and esay parking. The walk to the ground is through a light industrial estate and probably the most dismal approach in football. The ground itself, however, is compact, tidy and pleasant with great views from the south stand up and across the hillside opposite. A good match with 2 sides well set up and trying to play football. Exter very 'robust' and lucky (in our view) to finish with 10 men. Exter away fans outstanding and the drummer brilliant. He went from miltary to samba and several styles in between and has to be the best we've hread. Funny moment 1 - after a couple of very hard (penalised) challenges by Wycombe the Exter fans started chanting, you dirty northern bastards. Funny moment 2/3/4/5/6/7/etc - the exter goalkeeper kicked like he was wearing somebdy else's wellington boots and on the wrong feet. Even he started doing pantomime shrugs to the crowd by the end of the game. Special mntion for Peter's pasties - peppery and as hot as the sun
