Unfortunately, this game will be remembered for the atrocious referreeing of Andy Davies. Although only his 7th league game in charge he was by far and away THE worst ref i can remember. Anyway, Carlisle seemed to have done their homework on us and edged the first half playing some neat football and generally over running our midfield. A neatly worked corner gave Douglas the opportunity to creep around the back of their defence unmarked to volley home through a sea of legs. Carlisle equalised soon after with a well taken goal. Uwe changed it about at half time, dropping Donaldson back to the right of a 5 man midfield with Forshaw given a central role to work his magic. Our second half performance was brilliant and we showed a good Carlisle how to really play football. We had been turning the screw for a good 10 mins when Hayes scored into the top corner from another corner. MOTM for me was Dave Yet another good performance !! Watching Brentford is becoming very enjoyable indeed !!
