Preston is a very nice town to walk through on the way from the station to the ground. It takes about half an hour but there are plenty of pubs on the way includng The Old Dog Inn (!!!) that we now know isn''t open at lunchtimes. Our day very warm and we were lathered by the time we reached the ground. A bit of a mix up with the tickets but we still got in. The Great Room is a wonderful hospitality suit. Light and airy with lots of TVs showing the early kick off match. The food was really good (some kind of tandoori chicken) and the service first class with bar service very fast. The comedian (Mike Milligan from Gateshead) was hilarious !!!!!!!!!!! The ground is just about perfect for a lower league side. Smart and good viewing and our seats were excellent in the Sir Tom Finney stand. Sadly the standard of foorball was deadful and 0-0 scoreline summed up a horrible 90 minutes for both sides. Nothing actually happened. Back to the lounge for more beer and more hilarious comedy before wandering back into town for a couple of beers opposite the station watching Spurs lose to Everton (1-0) Another excellent day out.
