With Leeds battling with Nottingham Forest for the fourth and final play off spot it was awful to see how easily they rolled over against a Palace side battling to avoid the drop. An early, lucky Palace goal was met with practically no response from Leeds, and the 1-0 defeat at Palace very much put Leeds in second place in the play off race and effectively ensured Palace' survival in the second tier of English football.
