The Football League League Two. Globe Arena, Christie Way, Westgate, Morecambe, Lancashire, LA4 4TB. Latterly Known As The Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
Tom Elliott was in the Rotherham squad. First time we saw Adam Le Fondre, who greatly impressed us. The new upstairs lounge/bar was quite good.
Christie Park was by no means the worst League 2 ground, but Morecambe will no doubt profit from the new grounds facilities, and views of the pitch are unrestricted. To read the Morecambe programme the ground sounds like Wembley, but seems well-designed despite the rather barren side opposite the main stand. Not the easiest ground to find, not helped by locals directing Rotherham fans to get off the train at Bare Lane. Probably correct for Christie Park! Rather a drab game, with few chances, despite Adam Le Fondre's efforts.
