A horrible day. My first game at Anfield in almost a decade and they played some of the worst football I've every seen them play. This was during the final days of the Hicks-Gillet ownership, and fans were furious at the entire situation. Adam and Varney gave Blackpool a 2-0 lead by half-time, and although Kyrgiakos pulled one back for the Reds, they would end up with nothing, although Joe Cole was inches away from levelling.
