First neutral game since I started doing 92. And 5th to last game at Saltergate as CFC moving to shiny new stadium next to Tesco/bypass next season. Saltergate rec ground is in appalling condition - literally crumbling away - but I guess with 5 games left they aren''t bothered. Game was entertaining. Chesterfield didn''t start playing till they were 2 down and then suddenly burst into life. They and Mgr Sheridan took some shocking abuse from the home fans - surprising I thought seeing as they''re in a play off spot. Also thought Hereford were surprisingly good seeing as they''re fighting relegation. Sheridan not the only Ex Forest man on duty - Ian Breckin (who got a standing ovation with his wife/baby the last game of last season at City Ground when he left on a free) was playing Centre Half for CFC, Mark Crossley was on the bench and Jack Lester was listed in the squad but not playing cos injured. Enjoyed the terracing + the spireite drummer. Also can''t believe CFC didn''t equalise at end - Conlon missed a sitter. Look forward to visiting the new stadium next season.
