Being up to watch Sunderland play the following day, the timing worked out great while I was up there to take in a game at St. James on a Friday night. It definately has to be the tallest stadium I have been to at time of writing, and being up a bit of a hill anyway it is certainly some spectacle. The atmosphere was great, and the pre-match music was memorable, Friday I'm In Love by The Cure and Fireflies by Owl City booming out. Picked a goal-filled game as well, Cardiff were poor on the night, Newcastle, who would go on to win the Championship were in really good form, Andy Caroll and Peter Loovenkrands with a brace each.
