Brighton went down 2-1 in a relegation 6-pointer to leave their survival hopes hanging by a thread. The Seagulls took the lead in the first half, with a messy bundled goal, which many referees may have disallowed for a foul on the keeper. It was a tense game, and there were few moments of quality play, but Brighton were containing their opposition until the last minute of the first half, where they conceded a soft penalty which McGleish buried to make it 1-1. The second half had more chances, and both teams could have won it, but in the end it took a superb effort from Thornton to win the game. The atmosphere at Brisbane Road was very good, with a large and noisy away following filling one side of the pitch. Although this was my first visit, you can still tell that the stadium is completely different to how it was, with 3 new looking stands and apartments in each corner. It's a nice little stadium, although a shame that the old character-filled terraces had to make way. Away Attendance: 1,915
