League 2 Play-Off Final
First trip to the newly opened Wembley. A fabulous sight, the arch and the stadium are superb. The area aroudn Wembley does seem very run down though and not welcoming. Very pricey though, but you can't complain about the view. Town even score the first goal at the new stadium by a domestc club, but Rovers with a backnig of 40,000 + storm back to win. Controversy before the game as Dave Edwards (later to join Wolves) is left out after not signing a new contract. Seemed petty minded by Peters who should surely pick his best team. Ricahrd Walker, later to join Town, scores 2. Traveleld down with the Prince of Wales boys and we had great fun before the match wandering round the stadium. Neal even managed to video the statue of Bobby Moore ! Can understand a photo, but a video ..... Also got on Radio Shropshire when we saw the breakfast DJ interviewing Salopians on Wembley Way.
