I was actually dropped off by a mate in Shepherd's Bush which was rather nice, instead of having to do a combination of train and tube or train, tube and bus.   I met up with another mate in The Defector's Weld on Shepherd's Bush Green.  The Bouncer on the door asked me which team I supported.  "Rangers mate" in the best Mockney accent I could someone.  Actually by going in The Weld we avoided being coralled by the overzealous Met Police as they did to City fans in Walkabout and some of the larger bars on The Green.  As it was, a few other City fans were allowed in with colours, so the Bouncer must have either taken a break or relaxed the rules!   We headed off to the ground, walking through the dodgy White City estate and past the Springbok Pub.  We then had to walk right the way round the ground to the away end.  Loftus Road is quite a tight ground, with no space for any development.  I was situated in the upper tier and the view was great.   Sadly City fell apart on the pitch.  Succumbing to three goals.  New boy Dele Adebola came closest for us with a shot against the post, but we just didn't turn up.   Went for a few more drinks in Hammersmith before heading home.
