Kidderminster fought so hard to get into the League then let it slip. This was a good match withsome neat goals. One notable event was that many Shrews fans came by steam-haled sspecial train down the Severn Valley line, the first such since an excursion to Blackpool in 1968.

A very disappointing show from my second favourite team with only a Luke penalty to cheer us up. I do recall the catering though, absolutely superb. The onion soup had an unpleasnt after effect on some fo the crowd, but the shepherds pie was quality !
