I could have picked a better game to take my girlfriend to. A day of firsts.  Her first Wolves away match, Scarborough's first game in the League after being the first team automatically promoted from the Conference. The first time time I've had free tea at a match (I'm afraid a few Wolves fans broke down the kiosk and haneded out free tea from the urn, and the first time I've seen a fan fall through a roof. I can still hear his head hitting the crash barrier as he fell. There were rumours that Leeds fans were in the ground (they weren't playnig until the Sunday) and when the fan fell through teh roof, it looked from the away terrace that loads of them ran forward and started beating him. This started the main trouble and apparently there had been a lot in town prior to that. Althoguh we were quite safe and stayed well away, the events made the national news. Pictures of Graham Turner coming out at half time to calm the fans beamed accross the country. By the time we got back home her father was furious and had no idea if we'd been caught up in the trouble or not. He wouldn't let me see her again !
