went on a bus from eastham with my mate paul, it was a tuesday night match and i remember seeing the floodlights for the first time from the top deck of the bus as it turned onto borough road from mount road. Blackpool wore their distinctive tangerine kit Clayton scored twice and dougie anderson got the third i think all the goals came in the first 15mins and i always remember saying that one player was sent off, one carried off and the referee was spat on at half time by kids ontop of the mesh cover that went over the tunnel entrance. It was a good season for rovers under Bryan Hamilton just missing out on promotion finishing 6th with the deadly duo of John Clayton(36) and Colin Clark scoring for fun. I got to two more Rovers games that season plus first visits to Goodison and Anfield. The programme cost 40p although it was the first of this format having previously issued six poor quality editions at the start of the season
