My first visit to the KC. I was on a backpacking and track bashing trip Got the train to Barton on Humber, bus across the Humber bridge to Hull. Left my backpack in the supporters (Tigers Bar) a fair way from the stadium. There was a full house and I knew I wouldn't be able to take it with me. The draw meant Hull were promoted to the Championship to much jubilation. I hot foot it back to the bar, and the doorman recovered my pack for me, had a quick pint, and off to the station to catch a train to Scarborough. Stayed in a cheap B&B and next morning got a bus to Pickering, and a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors railway. Met a guy on the train who introdued me to a lovely old pub in a village by the line.
