Burnley were again at the wrong end of Div 3 and needed the points. 3-1 up at half-time we looked safe but Oldham fought back well to 3-3. The last match was away at Plymouth, who always seem to roll over when it matters and status was preserved.   In goal for Oldham was Bruce Grobbelaar. At the beginning of the match he received a terrific ovation from the Burnley fans as he approached them. He then reported being subjected to 45 minutes of abuse. At half-time he turned grinning to the Clarets lot and waved, receiving a great send-off. He had left Liverpool in 1994 and this could have been one of his last matches.
