Vale seem to be the most obscure club in the League. I have met fans who don't know where it is. Even if you add Burslem that doesn't seem to help. Despite that, they have good support and 10000+ for this game was respectable even allowing for a thousand or so Clarets. The sides met again at a level higher next season and the match at the Turf was abandonned. Vale were leading 2-1 but Ted McMinn had scored and was on his knees in front of the ref pleading with him not to abandon the game as his goal would be wiped out.
