Swansea beat the ''team of the eighties'' that night, and were themselves promoted from Division Two the following season to join the top league. Good but scary atmosphere - hooligasnism was rife in those days. Sadly, a Swansea City fan was stabbed and killed by a Palace supporter at this game.
