Following approval by the FA Wimbledon FC planned to relocate here from Selhurst Park at the start of the 2003/4 season whilst awaiting completion of the Stadium:MK but during June 2003 it went into administration and this move was delayed until September. The first League goal at the stadium was scored by Robbie Blake of Burnley FC in the 21st minute of the first match. At the end of the 2003/4 season the name of the club was changed to Milton Keynes Dons. The club moved to Stadium:MK in 2007
