91 League games played at Pikes Lane by Bolton Wanderers

The club was a founder member of the Football League in 1888 and despite the ground being unpopular for both players (the pitch was inevitably a mud heap) and spectators (for whom the facilities were all but non-existent) it was another seven years before they were able to move to Burnden Park. The first ever League hat trick was scored here by Walter Tait of Burnley in their 4-3 win against Bolton Wanderers on September 15th, 1888.
