GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"
Originally part of the site of Houndstone Camp, Yeovil Town moved here from The Huish in 1990. There are all-seater cantilever stands on the east and west sides of the ground and there was originally open terracing behind the goals, but in 2001 a cover was installed over the south end. At the start of the 2007/8 season the capacity was 9,400 with 5,212 seats. The pitch size was 115 x 72 yards.

Food & drink
The Bell" on Preston Road which is 25 minutes away from the ground but I love the bell. Food is very good and very reasonably priced. The staffs are helpful the wine is always at the right temp and the beer also. The whole place has a really nice atmosphere and I love the way it is divided up into several different areas. It’s so much better than the Airfield Tavern, Both in food quality and price. To get there quickly take the train to Taunton then walk up to the parade and then take the First in Bristol, Bath & the West Bus 54 Yeovil Hospital on Kingston and its five minutes to the pub.
If driving
Leave the M5 at Junction 25 and take the first exit onto the A358 (Signposted Yeovil/ Weymouth) drive down this to the next roundabout (with burger King on the right) take the first exit onto the A303. At the second roundabout called the Cartgate roundabout and take the second exit onto the A3088 towards Yeovil. Follow the road for around four miles until you reach a roundabout with the Westlands Airfield in front of you. Take the first exit at this roundabout and then continue straight on, crossing a number of roundabouts. As you pass the entrance to an Asda superstore, take the next left for the ground, which can be seen from the road.

There is a fair sized car park at the ground, which costs Β£2. Otherwise there is plenty of street car parking to be had on the roads leading down to the ground.
Public transport
Train to Yeovil Pen Mill trains from Bristol Temple Meads then it’s a 2.69 mile walk to the ground. Getting off at the station turn right on to Shelbourne Road and at the junction you will see the Peugeot garage on your left take the next road up Reckelford past Domino Pizza and continue straight on just before the Hospital roundabout cross the A30 and at the roundabout take a right on to the Kingston and walk up to the next roundabout which is called Fiveways cross the road and take the first on you left this is called Preston Road walk down its about a mile to the next roundabout next to Asda take the first right into Weston Avenue and at the next roundabout just past Comet and Homebase walk straight on till you get to Pedestrian crossing cross over and go through the park and the ground is in front of you.

You can get a train to train to Yeovil Junction then jump on a bus South West Coaches Bus 68 to the Bus Station and then the number 1 First in Dorset & South Somerset Bus to the ground make sure the bus has 'Abbey Manor Park' on the front or you will go in a different direction.
