GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"
Constructed on the site of pre-WWI housing, Millwall FC moved to The New Den in 1994. It is a typical modern purpose-built stadium consisting of four two-tier all-seater cantilevered roof stands giving a capacity, at the start of the 2007/8 season, of 20,150. The pitch size was 112 x 74 yards.
Originally called The New London Stadium, it was quickly renamed The New Den. In recent years it has taken on the name of the previous ground, The Den, with that ground now being referred to as The Old Den.
