Having recently joined the forces i was doing my basic training in nearby swinderby this might have been the day i missed my first Tranmere game in two and a half years, subsequently missing two Wemberly games with the play offs and promotion to the second division for the first time since 1938 and an injury time ldv Wembley defeat to Birmingham. Sincil bank nice ground at the time and disappointed i've never gotten to see Tranmere there, lots of goals though
