GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"

Located on the west side of Dunstable Road and adjacent to the north side of the Great Northern Railway line to Dunstable, Luton Town moved “across the tracks” from their Dallow Lane ground which had been on the south side of the line. The ground, also known as Bury Park, was officially opened by the Duke of Norfolk on April 3rd, 1897 when Loughborough FC was played in a United Counties League match. The facilities included a covered seated stand which had been constructed on the east side, a covered standing enclosure on the west and raised embankments around the remainder of the pitch.

As the site was required for housing, Luton Town vacated the ground in 1905 and re-located to Kenilworth Road, a few hundred yards west along the railway line.
