Match no. 1433. After a run of 3 games without scoring, Stevenage kept in touch with the last play-off place with this excellent win over 5th place Barnsley. Borough conceded on the half-hour when the whole back line stopped and waited for an offside flag that never came. Jamie Reid then equalised in first-half stoppage time. Six minutes into the second-half Dan Butler smashed home a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area for what proved to be the winner. I''ve now seen Barnsley play 10 times and they''ve managed only one win, and that was 42 years ago: Match no. 527 - Orient 1-3 Barnsley - 23.1.1982.
