A long but rewarding day. 11.5 hours all in all round trip with lots of trains, waiting and walking. Luckily every train was spot on time and none too crowded. The walk too (2 miles each way) to the ground was flat and easy (apart from having to repeatedly cross the road as the path on one side changed sides every half mile) and weather dry and not too cold. The ground is new, neat and clearly fit for purpose - nothing excessive and yet all there. It reminded me a bit of Fylde especially with the fancy arcing floodlight poles. Good game. Easy to see why Bishop's Stortford are bottom of the league and why Boston are close to the play-off places. Excellent goals and one even more impressive move for a thumping strike onto the bar. I had to leave a few minutes before the end to catch my train (and save an hour!) but I saw all the goals and, anyway, by then I was getting a bit cold. So a brisk walk back to the station to begin my 5.5 hour journey home. Another epic quest !!!!
