Went with Joe and Frank. Left home at about 17:20 and got the train from Streatham Common changing at Clapham Junction to get to Kew Bridge. Met Joe on the train at Clapham Junction and got to the ground at about 18:40. Had a couple of pints on the concourse with Joe and Frank before the game. The game itself was a really entertaining one, with Forest Green dominating the opening 45 mins, playing a high press and lovely passing game and looking like the side that were three leagues above their opponents. They took the lead after about 10 mins through the high press dispossessing Brentford at the back and eventually scrambling the ball into the net. They bossed the rest of the half creating a few chances and causing a number of problems for them. At HT Brentford brought on a couple of first team players and after about 10 mins of the first half being fairly even, they took the game by the scruff of the neck and played a high press, doing exactly what FGR did to them. Brentford eventually got back into the game around 60 mins after a scuffed shot found its way into the bottom corner. 15 mins later and Brentford took the lead through Mbeumo after a peach of a cross was headed in at the back post. 10 mins later and the game was out of sight for FGR, having been reduced to 10 men and conceding a third on 85 mins after good work on the wing by Canos before squaring the ball for Forrs who finished off the game. After the game we went for a pint in the local pub to allow the queues for the train to die. Got the train back to Clapham Junction and then went to Streatham Hill. Got back home at about midnight after getting a 57 home.
