Spoke to an avid Peterbourgh groundhopper before the start plus a couple of lad and dad tranmere fans. No programme so went hunting for a teamsheet 25mins before kick off, was told they would get one for me but still waiting 20mins later popped off for a can of pop on my return the staff had disappeared! Whilst waiting in their room i missed the opening goal for the hosts on 2 minutes aargh! Prescot equalised with a header shortly afterwards before Winsford spurned a golden chance of regaining the lead when a rashford-esk penalty hit the foot of the left hand post and went wide hT 1-1. A stereotypical game of two halves Prescot where much improved second half although they had another scare when what appeared to be a very blatent handball in the box went unpunished. The game became increasingly bad tempered with countless fouls before a poor defensive tackle allowed a cross from inside the box which was hit home from six yards. As full time approached i changed sides just in time to see the third a long range twenty yarder crash in off the post. Cables are a division higher so the result shouldn''t have come as a surprise but Winsford edged the first half and had they converted their penalty and been awarded the second then the result could have been much different.
