Comments :
Capacity was limited to 200 told by several officials no programmes printed or online but by chance found this to be wrong and ordered a copy from the printers. Covid rules here were no more than four people per row every other row and three seats apart regardless of if you lived together or not. Widnes went ahead when a high ball into the box was headed home and they should have doubled the lead from the spot but a weak penalty was easily saved. Longridge equalised with an angled shot from the edge of the box which went just inside the post ht 1-1. Whilst the home side shaded the first half Longridge shaded the second, hitting the bar and having another effort from a corner cleared off the line before another cut in and shot put them ahead. Widnes returned to level the score with another fine header and the tie was looking destined for spot kicks as 4 added minutes went up on the board but it would only take one spot kick to decide the tie as a clumsy trip gifted the visitors the win in added time. Steele(17), Anderton(41) Turner(67) Rainford(77) Melling (90+1)
