I had bought myself a Chicken Tuesday from Kentucky Fried Chicken in Scunthorpe before setting off. The journey was straight forward and I was at the ground with an hour to spare so I sorted out some paperwork regarding my pupils. Once inside the ground I discovered it was very basic. A tiny stand near the half way line with about 30 seats. Just a railing around the pitch with a thin strip of concrete to walk along. It cost the usual £5 to get in. Grimsby won the match 3-1 and were the better side throughout. A lot of ex Grimsby Town players were in the team. I walked around the ground at half time but it was fenced off behind one of the goals. This is the most basic of any ground I have been to on my travels. The journey home was a good one taking just over one hour.
