I am destined never to go to Carlisle home ground. Preston north end very kindly loaned Carlisle their ground due to awful floods in Cumbria and the ground being 5 foot under water. Took my dad and kevan on this road trip to Deepdale and it was great. Found the ground very easy and parked up right outside but I appreciate that the parking may be more difficult on a PNE game. Everyone was really helpful all the stewards and loved the imposing nature of the ground and the fact it was in the streets and not out in the middle of an industrial park. Even though we lost the game enjoyed the atmosphere and especially the fanatic outside the ground who washed his head and face in the Sir Tom Finney fountain and said it was hallowed water! A proper PNE fan head to toe in tracksuit and shirt emblazoned with PNE. What a man ! It was a great experience under the difficult circumstances and it rained solidly the whole match and there was no dug out cover at all which I thought was unusual. Brilliant loved the ground.
