I seem to recall Big Barry Butlin scoring two goals that day in a side which looked a million miles away from being European Champions only 3 years later. Research tells me that Forest finished 3rd that season (1976/77) which got them promotion to the First Division, which they then won at the first attempt in May 1978. Brian Clough was the manager, assisted by Peter Taylor, at the time of this match.
