Comments :
Victoria Park was a genuine park pitch. The ground had coverage on one side with a stand that had covered terracing on either side of it. The pitch was surrounded by a cinder track. Players had a fifty yard walk from a magnificent Victorian pavillion. A pavillion that was inexcusably demolished by the city's council when the club moved. The sad demise to a unique piece of sporing architecture. Shameful.
