Match no. 75. The Chicken Run stood forlorn and empty for this, the last game of the season, played in an absolute deluge of rain. One week later Everton played West Brom in the FA Cup Final (losing 1-0 after extra-time) and they took the opportunity to rest some first choice players but six of the eventual line-up did play: Wright, Kendall, Harvey, Husband (who scored their goal), Hurst and Morrissey. Hammers ended the season in 12th place.
